Compliance and Sustainability Reporting

Global warming and climate change have emerged as key sustainable development issues. Federal, state and local governments – and corporations- are taking steps to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, establish emission tracking protocols, regulations and standards for energy efficiency. Proper management of GHG risk will help ensure long term success in a competitive business environment.

TLR Energy can help you identify your GHG emissions and facilitate a strategy for implementation of reduction opportunities as well as generate reports for participation in voluntary or mandatory reporting. Also corporations are being asked to participate in a number of sustainability surveys, notably the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) Climate Change and Emissions survey, Newsweek’s Green Rankings, and the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI). TLR Energy can help you with these surveys as well.

Example: NYC Local Law 84 Benchmarking of Energy and Water Use

A grace period for penalties applies from May 1 - Aug. 1, 2011 for the initial benchmarking of 2010 energy and water usage data by the owners of buildings over 50,000 sq. ft. Further details:  TLR Energy will provide the benchmarking required by this law and if we procure your total energy expenditure, you have the option of having us complete the DOE Energy Star /Energy Portfolio Manager and having it implemented and maintained by our in-house team of analysts.

The analysis begins with an inventory of all energy purchase and generated on-site (electricity, gas, oil, steam, waste fuels, etc. on a cost basis. TLR Energy will develop charts and graphs that illustrate energy performance across your organization or compare it to a national standard. Clear and timely reporting will help you better understand the factors that affect energy performance, identify steps for reducing energy consumption and costs and assign accountability. With true knowledge of your own company’s position, and a plan in place, you can effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
